The Minnesota State football team will open its spring practice schedule on Friday, March 29, at the Blakeslee Stadium practice fields.
MSU finished its 2018 season with a 13-1 record and advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Tournament. The Mavericks also claimed their fourth NSIC Championship in the last six seasons.
The Mavericks will take part in a total of 14 practices from March 29 through April 25. Three practices, including the first two, the players will wear helmets. The remaining practices will be in full and half pads, including scrimmages on April 6 and April 13.
Minnesota State concludes its spring practice with the spring game that will take place at Blakeslee Stadium on Saturday, April 27. The game is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
The fifth-annual Pig Skin BBQ will also be held following the completion of the spring game. The Mavericks will also host a youth camp from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., for children grades 3-8.
