Six Chinese social media accounts have been shut after they advocated support for a woman who accused the founder of online shopping giant JD.com, Richard Liu, of rape. Writer Chen Chun said WeChat informed him that his public account was closed because a petition he shared in the woman’s defense “violated regulations.” Five other accounts were also disabled. A University of Minnesota student says Richard Liu raped her. He denies the accusation.
