DNR K-9 Officer Brady will be back out this weekend sniffing for zebra mussels at fishing accesses. Brady’s handler Conservation Officer Julie Siems:
“A lot of times there in areas owners couldn’t get too deep under boats or spots you really couldn’t see. It’s all about slowing the spread. So we just make sure that boat gets decontaminated before it enters another body of water.”
Siems says if zebra mussels are present, without a doubt Brady will detect them. His reward, playing with his ball.
