38-year-old Mitchel Schultz of Lake Crystal is arrested after a crash through a roundabout, resulting in his 7th DWI arrest.

The Blue Earth County criminal complaint says on May 25 at approximately 8:47 a.m., Blue Earth County Deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident near State Highway 22 and County Road 90 at the roundabout in Blue Earth County. According to the caller, an RV drove over the roundabout and crashed into the ditch on County Road 90. While in route to the call, deputies were informed that the driver was running southbound with a bag. The driver tried going into a nearby house but ultimately ran across the road and stopped with a St. Clair firefighter.

The driver, Mitchell Lee Schultz, claimed that there was a second person in the RV with him; and they ran southbound on State Highway 22.

Records indicate the two baggies he was carrying was of suspected methamphetamine weighing approximately 2 grams.  The complaint says he has six prior convictions for DWI.

He is charged with a felony DWI, felony and gross misdemeanor drug possession, and gross misdemeanor driving after license cancellation.
