Survey crews were out early in the area of three tornado touchdowns in the area of southeastern Minnesota. National Weather Service Meteorologist Nicole Batzek says they saw similar damage caused by all three twisters.
In Charles City there was some house that had some portion of the roof peeled back from the wind. That was pretty common in all three. A lot of tree damage. Then some outbuilding and structural damage as well.
Batzeck says the strongest storm touched down near Charles City, Iowa and was rated an EF-1 while the other two were labeled EF-0.
