Governor Tim Walz surrounded by preschoolers as he signed a 20-plus-billion-dollar public school funding bill at an elementary school in Saint Paul. The governor touted bipartisan cooperation in the only state in the nation with divided government. But Carleton College political analyst Steven Schier expects problems during the next session:

“Equal rights, probably conversion therapy, abortion restrictions, private school scholarships — those are just a few where I think deadlock is almost certain to occur.”
