Minnesota employers continue to add jobs.
Minnesota gained 1,100 jobs in August. The unemployment rate decreased one-tenth percent to 3.3% ending a nine-month stretch where the rate increased from 2.8% last October to 3.4% in July.
Over the month, three major industry sectors gained jobs. Leisure and Hospitality, Financial Activities and Construction. Sectors that lost jobs were in Manufacturing, Trade, Transportation and Utilities, Professional and Business Services.
