Country music star, Luke Bryan, gave a loving performance last night of the national anthem at Bridgestone arena. The event was for “Hockey Has Heart Congenital Defect Awareness Night” in which he sang in commemoration for his late passing niece, Sadie Brett Boyer, who had passed away in 2017 due to Congenital Heart Disease (CHD). This is when the “heart or blood vessels near the heart do not form properly before birth”. Sadly, Luke Bryan’s wife, Caroline Bryan was not able to be there due to having the flu. Luke gave a loving, touching performance on the ice right next to two other CHD patients. This was even more emotion because there were 200 people in the audience, who had been affected by CHD.
