The state has awarded nearly 19-million dollars in grants to 32 Minnesota cities for infrastructure and rehabilitation projects. Meredith Udoibok is with the state Department of Employment and Economic Development:

“Small cities development program has been around the department for many years, it’s been very popular and is one of the few financing options that are available to local communities to help them continue to have good housing stock, help them with some of their public facility projects as well as downtown rehabilitation projects.”

Udoibok says the funding comes at a good time to assist Greater Minnesota communities in their recovery from the economic impacts of COVID-19.
