Mankato Mayor Najwa Massad says they are taking feedback on a potential proposal to require face masks be worn in public.

“I can’t even tell you how many emails we received both for and against it. There’s passion on each side.”

She says there’s several businesses and the medical field that have spoken out.

“We have the medical field saying to please require it and other businesses like the fitness centers saying no, how could we do that.”

The city council meets on Monday to decide if they will move forward with this ordinance.
