Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar says there is an urgent need for blood plasma donations amid COVID-19.

“Initially, when people learned about the fact that you can save lives if you’ve had COVID, by giving plasma, there was an uptick in the number of donations, and now we need more and more of them.”

Klobuchar is urging people who have recovered from the virus to donate plasma, which could help other patients recover. Earlier this month, Klobuchar introduced legislation that would create a public awareness campaign about the importance of donating plasma.
