President Trump this morning sent out a tweet questioning whether the 2020 presidential election should be delayed. Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon says…

“I think the suggestion that this country will be delaying the presidential election is ugly and dangerous, fortunately, the president of the united states doesn’t have that power alone. it would take an act of Congress to delay the election.”

In his tweet, Trump speculates that “with universal mail-in voting 2020 will be the most INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election in history.” Trump says it would be “a great embarrassment to the USA.” Election security officials say there is no evidence of widespread voter fraud through mail-in voting–even in states with all-mail votes.
