Some studies are out suggesting potential long-term health consequences for those who have had COVID-19. Kris Ehresman with the Minnesota Department of Health says it’s too early to say for sure but it’s something those in the medical community are keeping an eye on.
“It is a little bit early, but there is data suggesting that having COVID could have longer-lasting consequences than we first thought,” said Ehresman. “It is likely we will be asked to participate in some studies to look back at cases to evaluate that.”
Ehresman says MDH does not keep track of those who have recovered from COVID-19. She says with over 57-thousand cases it’s just not possible to do so.
