The Minnesota arm of a national mental illness support network is trying to provide free stress and mental support training aimed at those caring for seniors. NAMI Minnesota Community Educator Kay King says even the 20-minute training video can be a valuable bit of downtime for these workers.

“Burnout was occurring already in health fields, even before COVID-19. We’re just hoping that people will just get a chance to do something as simple as breathe.”

King says the training is conceived for senior care workers, but anyone dealing with stress in their daily life could find the training help. Information is available at namimn.org.
