Small businesses in Le Sueur County may apply for its recovery fund program meant to assist businesses adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and they will have less than two weeks to apply.

Grants up to $10,000 are offered to small businesses in the county that have a physical location in Le Sueur County. The application period opens Monday, Sept. 14 and closes Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 12 p.m. Business owners may use the funds for expenses such as payroll, rent or mortgage payments, utilities and payments to suppliers.

Le Sueur County’s Board of Commissioners is offering the recovery fund program. The board urges eligible businesses to apply for these state funds.

To be eligible, a small business must demonstrate its operations have been directly and adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and the State of Minnesota Executive Orders.
