As the first week of school wraps up, Minnesota’s top academic administrator claims, no matter what learning models are used, teachers are aiming to hold students to high standards of learning.

“They’re going to be supported by paraprofessionals and their school administrators and other school professionals, and that is what we’re dedicated to as educators. Teaching to those academic standards.”

Education commissioner Mary Catherine Ricker says a key part of that will be offering timely feedback to students that may not be in the classroom each day with teachers.
