Greater Mankato Area United Way’s sixth annual Human Foosball Tournament is 12 to 3 p.m. Saturday, September 12 at the Herberger’s parking lot at River Hills Mall. The event is presented by Scheels.

Human Foosball will follow a COVID-19 preparedness plan to ensure a safe and fun event. This year’s tournament will not include a block party as in previous years. Other modifications include having fewer teams (13 teams will compete rather than 32), shortened game times, sanitization between games, contact mitigation, mask requirements and social distancing.

Several teams that have competed in the past are continuing their financial support of the event despite not participating in person.

Also in the parking lot—Cameron Hodges (a fourth-grader at Loyola) will be selling sweet corn and produce he picked. He will donate his earnings to United Way to help people in need.

Human Foosball benefits Greater Mankato Area United Way’s 56 partner programs serving Blue Earth, Le Sueur, Nicollet and Waseca counties.
