Will Minnesota vote “red” or “blue” in the upcoming presidential election? That’s a big question and Hamline University political expert David Schultz says it will likely come down to how the vote plays out in the metro area…

“Which four years ago had a depressed turnout compared to previous elections, if they turn out in large percentages to vote, much like they did 2018, then Minnesota is largely beyond the grasp of Donald Trump.”

Schultz says the flip side of that is if Donald Trump gets low turnout in the state’s urban areas and higher turnout in Greater Minnesota, Trump will win. President Trump and Joe Biden are both expected to visit Minnesota on Friday
