Minnesota home sales were strong in 2020. Chris Galler president of Minnesota Realtors says closed sales were up 8.4 percent and there were over 92,000 properties closed.   He says inventory was the most disappointing:

“Year-over-year we were down 46-percent. So if you can imagine sales being up and inventory being about half of what it was the previous year that part of the industry really struggled.”

As for 2021:

“We’re anticipating a very strong first six-months. It’s pretty difficult to project much more than that but if interest rates stay where they are and if we can get a little more inventory, we really need inventory — then we anticipate 2021 should be a really good year.”
