Are people in your state ruder or more polite than other states? Someone asked over 75,000 Americans and did a rudeness ranking for all 50 states.
And according to the results, the rudest state in America is also the smallest . . . RHODE ISLAND ranked first.
42% of Rhode Islanders said people in their state are ruder than other states. Only 9% said more polite. Everyone else said an average level of rudeness.
The northeast in general has a bunch of states in the top ten.
The ten rudest states are: Rhode Island . . . Massachusetts . . . New Jersey . . . Nevada . . . Connecticut . . . New York . . . California . . . Florida . . . Pennsylvania . . . and Ohio.
On the other end, Hawaiians have a pretty high opinion of themselves. Only 10% said ruder than other states, and 60% said more polite.
