A 74-year-old man is in custody for a North St. Paul stabbing that injured two people Thursday morning. Police responded to the 25-hundred-block of Seventh Avenue before noon on a report of an assault. At an antique business, they found two people had been stabbed during a robbery. Then they found the suspect, Jeffrey Frank, attempting to flee when he apparently sprayed a chemical irritant at one officer. He was arrested. The two victims and that officer were transported to a hospital for treatment.
