All Minnesotans age 16 and over will be eligible for the COVID vaccine beginning next Tuesday (3/30), under a directive Governor Tim Walz will announce later today (1130am).   State Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm says vaccine providers will still be giving priority to higher-risk populations, but providers also have the flexibility to ensure that as many doses as possible end up in arms:

…”to make sure that, as the vaccine supply ramps up, that we’re able to get every dose administered in the week that we get it and that there’s no slowing down or waiting for an eligible population.”

The federal government has promised a significant increase in the vaccine supply by early April — although it’s still not enough to immediately vaccinate all Minnesotans who might want it.
