State officials say they’ve been reaching out to unemployed Minnesotans to help connect them with job and training opportunities.

The Department of Employment and Economic Development says its staff has called more than 30-thousand people receiving unemployment benefits since March.  DEED says they are reminding unemployed Minnesotans of the requirement to look for employment and talking about career force tools to help in the job search.   Commissioner Steve Grove says, “employers are seeking to hire very quickly while workers may not be able to immediately find employment that fits their family’s needs and their skill sets.”
