Seven men have been charged with sex trafficking-related crimes following a “covert operation” in the Twin Cities area. The East Metro Sex Trafficking Task Force carried out the operation in June 2nd, focusing on those seeking sex with minors online. These men were arrested after setting up sex with someone they believed was a 15-year-old girl for money through a fake online ad. In a new release, law enforcement said the arrests showed the continued need to protect children from the dangers that exist online. Those arrested range in age from 27 to 52.
