(Ramsey County, MN)  —  A new policy means Ramsey County deputies assigned to work with U.S. Marshals must now wear body cameras.  On Sunday, Sheriff Bob Fletcher signed an addendum enabling the requirement for those placed with the U.S. Marshals North Star Fugitive Task Force.  The move follows the involvement of two deputies in the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Winston Smith.  No body camera footage for that shooting exists because the deputies were prohibited from wearing ones as part of the task force.
