(New Ulm, MN) — A high school teacher in New Ulm is under investigation after he allegedly attacked a student. Officials say Eric Kauffmann was charged last week for allegedly screaming at a student, then pulling her up from the floor by her ankles after she’d fallen down. New Ulm Public Schools Superintendent Jeff Bertrang says Kauffmann has been placed on administrative leave pending the investigation. The physical education teacher now faces a slew of charges including the malicious punishment of a child. Kauffmann’s first court appearance is scheduled for November 23rd.
