Freezing temperatures, snow and wind over the past three days have resulted in more than 260 crashes on the state’s roads. MN-Dot’s Anne Meyer says now is the time to tap back into those winter driving skills, especially when sharing the road with snowplows.
“When you come upon a snowplow on a highway, just give yourself plenty of room, you can pass them. Make sure you can see around them. But if you give yourself time, if you slow down, that helps our snowplow operators do their job.”
Meyer says throughout the winter drivers can do their part to keep the roads safe by slowing down and giving other cars plenty of space.
