Senator Nick Frentz (DFL-North Mankato) said today that incoming Senate Majority Leader Kari Dziedzic has named him chair of a key Senate committee that will give Greater Minnesota a voice in important issues like energy, environment, and climate when the state legislature reconvenes early next year.

Sen. Frentz said he will lead the Energy, Utilities, Environment and Climate Committee when the 2023 legislative session gets underway in early January.  He currently serves as the top DFLer on a similar Senate committee, but the new panel will have a bigger role in tackling the climate crisis.
