By |2021-06-16T07:00:54-05:00June 16th, 2021|Categories: Blogs|

I guess even doing our jobs from the couch for a full year didn't make us more relaxed at work.  Because a new Gallup poll found America has some of the most STRESSED-OUT workers in the world. They broke it down by region, not by country.  So they lumped the U.S. and Canada together.  And overall, 57% said that a significant part of their workday is stressful.  That's the highest in the world.  The global average is 43%, and it's only 39% in Europe. It also found women deal with more on-the-job stress every day . . . 62% said yes, compared to [...]

Those who complain about the cold in the winter, better not be saying a thing these past weeks. Although not as hot, the heat continues this week. It was a perfect Summer weekend, outdoor festivals, live music at Vetterstone, plenty of time on the motorcycle, baseball, and I watched two went almost get into a fight over pie and onion rings! I've thought about this a lot, Nasa can control a helicopter on Mars, and yet I lose wifi when I go into the kitchen Whoever created the tradition of not seeing the bride in the wedding dress beforehand saved countless [...]

2020 was hard on everyone, but it seems like a lot of us are feeling a wad of cash burning a hole in our wallets. 45% of people in a recent survey said they plan to spend MORE money this year . . . than the past TWO summers COMBINED. And nearly half of people say they've saved enough cash over the course of the pandemic to open their wallets "guilt-free" this summer. SO HANGRY!

By |2021-06-10T07:38:33-05:00June 10th, 2021|Categories: Blogs|

We're still in the middle of a pandemic, but that doesn't mean there aren't hard-working Americans out there doing the REAL work to satisfy our thirst for knowledge. Someone has conducted a study to determine the HANGRIEST states.  (???)  If you're unfamiliar, that's HUNGER-CAUSED ANGER. They did it by looking at the number of fast-food joints and Walmarts per capita in each state . . . the work break laws in each location . . . the percent of adults with diabetes . . . and the number of searches for the word "hanger." The basic idea is that the easier it [...]

It's Pet Appreciation Week . . . or PAW for short.  But do we really need a whole week to remind us to do that?  It sounds like we're pampering them on a regular basis already. 94% of pet owners in a new poll said they try to make their pets feel appreciated on a regular basis.  And two-thirds feel like they treat their pet better than they treat THEMSELVES.  Here are the top ten ways we show our pets some love . . . Playing with them. Telling them, "good boy" or "good girl." Feeding them the food they like, [...]

All three Baja flavors will have a scent that goes with them.  They haven't said how much the air fresheners will cost yet, or how long they'll be available.  But [...]

Things I’ve Noticed

When you finally turn on the AC it feels like you're rich walking into your place. I finally caved and turned it on Saturday night. There are enough ants on earth to destroy the human race. Yet they don't. Be grateful. This weekend consisted of 3 kinds of people... those who had lake access, those who stayed inside to beat the heat, and those who had to work. A nice shower followed by a good coat of aloe vera, and then wait 30 minutes and apply the aloe one more time before bed. That's my remedy for sunburn. Assuming you got [...]
