Brooks will be one of only 9 artists in history to receive this award, and he will join the ranks with Cher, Neil Diamond, Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Janet Jackson, and Mariah Carey. Country Music Singer Dead After Being Hit by Car

Country music singer Lindsey Lagestee has died after being hit by a car. The singer was on her way to perform at a show on Valentine's Day when she was hit by a car as she was crossing the street. Lagestee, 25, was rushed to the Advocate Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, where she died of her injuries a few days later. Her death has ripped a hole in the Chicago-area country music community, as well as the Dixie Crush fanbase. Luke Bryan’s Emotional Performance for the Passing of his Niece

Country music star, Luke Bryan, gave a loving performance last night of the national anthem at Bridgestone arena. The event was for "Hockey Has Heart Congenital Defect Awareness Night" in which he sang in commemoration for his late passing niece, Sadie Brett Boyer, who had passed away in 2017 due to Congenital Heart Disease (CHD). On February 10th, 1967 Glen Campbell's seventh studio album By The Time I Get To Phoenix hit number 1 on the U.S. Country Music Charts. The title track, written by Jimmy Webb, was originally recorded by Johnny Rivers in 1965.
