On November 17th, 1997, Shania Twain's second album 'The Woman In Me' reached diamond status - the first album by a female artist in any genre to do so. The 1995 album was certified diamond, which is given by the RIAA by an album with over 10 million copies sold, a little over two years after its release. Dolly Parton has hit another career first. The 73-year-old country star has recently released a song that has earned her a number 1 hit on Billboard's Dance/Electronic chart. The new song is called "Faith" and is a collaboration between Parton, Swedish electronic music group Galantis, and Dutch musician Mr. Probz. According to Nielsen Music, within the song's first week of being released, it was streamed 1.8 million times in the U.S. and sold 4 thousand downloads. Jimmy Dickens, a lifelong country artist, became an official member of the Grand Ole Opry on November 6th, 1941 at the age of 28. Dickens, whose first performance at the Opry took place earlier that same year in February, would go on to be a lifelong regular at the legendary venue.
