Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison says George Floyd bears no responsibility for his death. Speaking with CBS’ “60 Minutes” in an interview that aired yesterday, Ellison said that regardless of any actions taken by Floyd the day he died in police custody, officers are paid and trained to deal with people having problems. He added if police officers can use deadly force on someone just having a bad day, we’re going to be in a very lethal situation. Former Minneapolis officer Derek Chauvin was convicted of Floyd’s murder last week. Floyd died after Chauvin held his knee on his neck for more than nine minutes during an arrest last May.
